Hello! Thank you for stopping by my blog and taking the time to read my first post. Again, my name is Jenna. My husband and I own and operate a small business in Utah. While I would not say that we have “made it” we are heading in the right direction.

There is always something to learn and this blog is dedicated to helping the person considering starting or buying a business, the current business owner, parents, spouses, and those working to improve themselves. By writing about my experiences I hope to help you put all of the pieces together and achieve your goals

I do not consider myself an expert but a work in progress. I strive to educate myself as much as possible in order to do the best job possible and pass the most useful information on to my readers. Some of my posts will be based on experience and others will be based on resources.

My background: I have always loved learning, reading, and writing. I have a B.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in Secondary Teaching with a focus in History. I believe that the best ways to learn are reading and experience.

As for hobbies, my greatest past-time is spending time with my kids. Since becoming a mom most of my hobbies have been put on hold ( I am not complaining!). I love helping my kids grow into who they will be. Prior to having children I read, traveled, rode my horse, taught my dogs tricks, journaled, tried to sew, tried to garden, baked delicious food, hiked, fished, snow-skied, water-skied, mountain biked, tried archery, and never turned down an opportunity for a road trip.

Now my teammate in life/husband and I are doing our best to make our company successful while raising our little ones. We believe that we may not be “old” but that we do have a lot of miles on us; between the two of us we have done a lot of living. And a lot of learning from each other. Together we own and operate a tire and automotive service shop. We literally built it from the ground up. He drew up a plan and quit his job as soon as we broke ground on the land to be there to help throughout the construction process.

Getting to open the doors was a huge achievement for our family. I look forward to sharing our experiences and learning lessons with you for years to come. My goal is to share useful information that I wish I had had access to; information that can help you in business, life, and, with your family.

Thanks for reading!
